Brand Identity Design
For founders and marketing teams who need more than an isolated logo: a recognisable identity that works on the website, packaging, presentations and everyday communication. I develop the visual direction, build the core assets and document how to use them. The scope starts with the applications your team actually needs.
By Krushna Palwe, senior visual designer. For founders and teams launching a brand or bringing an existing identity into a consistent system. Based in Pune, Maharashtra. Available for remote projects with teams in Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru (Bangalore).
01 / Problems
When this is the right project.
- You are launching a business with a name and proposition, but no clear visual identity.
- The logo, colours, website and marketing material no longer feel like the same brand.
- Your identity looks good in a presentation but fails at small sizes or in everyday formats.
- Each supplier interprets the brand differently because the files and guidelines are incomplete.
02 / Included
What’s included.
- Discovery and visual audit
- Review the audience, proposition, existing assets, references and applications before choosing a visual direction.
- Logo system
- Primary mark or wordmark, supporting lockups and small-size versions appropriate to the agreed scope.
- Colour and typography
- A palette with defined roles and a type hierarchy tested on real content and backgrounds.
- Graphic language
- Supporting shapes, patterns or imagery direction when the identity needs a language beyond the logo.
- Priority applications
- Agreed examples or editable templates for the surfaces that matter at launch. Format and quantity are specified in the brief.
- Guidelines and files
- Usage rules, final exports and agreed editable assets organised for the team that will maintain the identity.
Scope boundary: Naming, trademark registration, website builds and full packaging artwork need separate scope.
03 / Process
How the work runs.
Stages overlap on real projects. They’re the order decisions get made in, not a rigid schedule.
- 01
Brief
Agree the audience, problem, application list, dependencies and decision owner.
- 02
Direction
Explore a visual approach against the brief, using references to clarify the intended character.
- 03
Identity
Develop the mark, colour, typography and supporting language as one system.
- 04
Applications
Test the direction at realistic sizes and on the priority touchpoints.
- 05
Handoff
Prepare the approved files and guidelines, with review and delivery requirements agreed in the scope.

06 / Questions
Asked before starting.
Can I commission a logo without a full website?
Yes. We can scope identity-only work, including the logo variations and usage rules you need. Website design and development are separate unless included in the proposal.
What is the difference between this and SaaS brand design?
This service covers a general visual identity or refresh. The B2B SaaS service focuses on software product families, technical communication and shared brand architecture.
Do I need to replace my existing logo?
Not necessarily. We first review whether the mark or the surrounding system is causing the problem. Existing recognition can be retained while the applications are improved.
What does brand identity design cost?
The quote depends on discovery, applications, review rounds, content dependencies and handoff requirements. Send the brief and a budget range if known so we can define an appropriate scope.
Do you provide naming or trademark registration?
Naming and trademark registration are not included in this visual-design service. The brief should identify who owns those decisions and any specialist review before the identity is finalised.
