Brand & Web Design
For founders launching or relaunching: a new identity and the website or storefront it lives on, designed as one project so the brand holds up where customers actually meet it. One designer from the audit to the live site.
By Krushna Palwe, senior visual designer. Best suited to B2B SaaS, technology and brand-system projects. Based in Pune, Maharashtra. Available for remote projects with teams in Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru (Bangalore).
01 / Problems
When this is the right project.
- You have a name and a line, but nothing holding them up.
- The website was built before the brand existed, and it shows.
- The logo fails at small sizes: favicon, social avatar, embroidery.
- The site reads as a template, in a category where trust is the product.
- No guidelines, so every new asset is a guess.
02 / Included
What’s included.
- Audit
- Your current site and a set of competitors, read for the gap you can own.
- Concept
- A brand idea the identity can be built from, stated in one line.
- Identity
- Symbol, wordmark and a responsive logo family, from favicon to header.
- System
- Colour with measured contrast pairs, type, grid and application rules.
- Guidelines
- A guideline document covering foundation, identity, system, application and governance.
- Website or storefront
- Designed for desktop and mobile, with implementation direction and QA.
Scope boundary: Agree identity, website, content and implementation deliverables before quoting. Third-party licences and ongoing maintenance need separate agreement.
03 / Process
How the work runs.
Stages overlap on real projects. They’re the order decisions get made in, not a rigid schedule.
- 01
Audit
Your store or site, plus competitors, for positioning gaps.
- 02
Concept
One idea for the identity to express.
- 03
Identity
The mark drawn once; responsive assets cut from it.
- 04
System
Colour, contrast, type and grid.
- 05
Site
The identity carried into navigation, collection and product pages.
- 06
Launch
Responsive and accessibility QA on the live build.
04 / Relevant work
The evidence.
05 / Proof
Shipped, and checkable.
For BLANKSY I audited the existing store and twenty competing sites, ten Indian and ten international, before designing the identity.
BLANKSY case studyThe BLANKSY identity includes one master symbol, five responsive logo assets and 24 guideline spreads.
BLANKSY case studyThe BLANKSY Shopify storefront is live at blanksy.in, with separate desktop and mobile layouts.
BLANKSY case study
The BLANKSY storefront shows concept product imagery and clearly labelled sample reviews. They demonstrate the design; they are not customer evidence or sales results.
06 / Questions
Asked before starting.
Do you work with early-stage startups?
Yes, when there’s a clear product and a decision-maker. The audit and concept stages are there to turn a name into something the identity can be built on.
Do you build on Shopify?
Yes. The BLANKSY store runs on Shopify Online Store 2.0; I directed the implementation with AI-assisted development and reviewed the live build.
What if we only need the identity?
That works too. For a technology company with several products, see B2B SaaS brand design.
How do you use AI?
For research, scaffolding and implementation, under my direction and review. Hierarchy, typography, language and what ships are my decisions.

Discuss your brand and website.
Share what you are launching, who it is for and what the identity and website must deliver together. Share what you know; missing inputs can be discussed together.
